Gym & Pool Rules
St. Francis Community Center Pool Rules
In compliance with the New Jersey Department of Health Bather Rules
Members and visitors must check in at the pool reception area upon entrance and exit.
Anyone over the age of 12 months is required to pay a guest fee.
Guests must pay the “Guest Fee” for open swim, if space permits.
Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or older.
Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved lifejackets may be worn (no "swimmies").
Proper swimming attire is required. No thongs or cut-off shorts.
No horseplay or running in the pool area.
Pool and deck must be cleared at the first sight of lightning or thunder.
No gum, food, or drink is allowed on the pool deck. Plastic water bottles are permitted. No glass containers are allowed.
Jumping is permitted only from the north and south walls.
Prior to jumping, make sure:
Toes are over the edge.
No one is in your way.
Jump away from the wall.
No back dives or flips are permitted.
Pool toys are permitted during birthday parties and open swim at the lifeguard’s discretion.
Noodles and kickboards must be used passively and not as life support devices.
No hard balls (tennis, softball, or baseball) are allowed in any pool.
Members and guests may bring their own chairs and towels.
All non-potty-trained participants are required to wear swim diapers.
Any infraction of the above-stated rules will result in suspension from the pool and center grounds.
