Our programs empower Ocean County residents (ages 16 and older) with the tools, skills, and guidance needed to achieve personal and professional success. Through literacy training, career development, credentialing, and job readiness support, we help participants build pathways to employment, self-sufficiency, and lifelong achievement.

Our Programs
At St. Francis Counseling Services, we provide a variety of mental health and advocacy programs, including. All Educational & Career Services programs are offered at the
St. Francis Toms River location in Stella Towne Center, 1258 Route 166, Toms River, NJ 08753. Programs hours are Monday – Friday 8:30AM -3:00PM

Designed to support individuals receiving public assistance, the unemployed, underemployed, and out-of-school youth, this program closes skill gaps and prepares participants for employment or further education.
Program Highlights:
High School Equivalency (HSE) attainment
English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction
Basic skills enhancement (math, reading, and writing)
Digital literacy training
Work readiness and employability skills
Opportunities to earn industry-recognized credentials
Volunteer and community work experiences
Eligibility: Referrals required through the Ocean County Board of Social Services or the Ocean County One-Stop Career Center.

Created for Ocean County residents, ages 55 and older, affected by COVID-19, the SEA Program helps seniors reenter the workforce after retirement or layoffs.
Program Highlights:
Digital literacy and technology training
Career coaching and work readiness skills
On-the-job training opportunities and job placement
Resume writing, interview preparation, and cover letter support
Facilitated workshops and mentorship
Employment resource linkages

Adult Literacy & WorkFirstNJ Programs: Referrals are required from the Ocean County Board of Social Services or the Ocean County One-Stop Career Center.

Cost: All programs are offered free of charge. Funding is provided by the Department of Human Services and the Ocean County Board of Commissioners.
