About Us
Vacation club is a summer camp for school age children offering fun filled age appropriate activities.

Mission
The primary goal of Vacation Club is to provide a secure environment (to supplement and complement home care) for school-aged children, five years of age and older, who are in need of supervised care, while offering enjoyable and positive social experiences that support and develop recreational interests.

Curriculum
The program offers a variety of activities designed to promote the physical, social, emotional and cognitive development of children, while allowing them to grow in confidence and self-esteem. It provides a comprehensive array of activities in arts and crafts, cooking, sports, daily swimming and weekly field trips.

June 19 through August 31, 2017 Ages: 5 to 13 (must have completed Kindergarten)

Registration & Orientation
Saturday, May 6 at 8:00 AM
Registration thereafter according to availability!
All information must be provided at the time of registration. Your child will no longer be able to begin Vacation Club without these records on file. St. Francis does not retain these records year to year.
• 5 and 6 year old children must have proof of their grade level. Please bring in most recent report card.
• Bring your child’s most recent/updated immunization records. Your child will no longer be able to begin Vacation Club without these records on file. St. Francis does not retain these records year to year.

Prices
There is an annual $40 Registration Fee. There are no refunds.
Full Day – Monday-Friday: 9 AM – 4 PM
Member $160.00 per week/$1,600.00 per season; Non-Member $188.00 per week
Extended Day – Monday-Friday: 7:30 AM – 6 PM
Member $190.00 per week/$1,900 per season; Non-Member $223.00 per week
At time of registration all 5 and 6 year old children must have proof of their grade level. Please bring in most recent report card.



Vacation Club Theme Weeks 2017

Week #1 (June 19th – June 23rd)
“Backyard Bash”
Enjoy the great outdoors as we kick off the season! Campers will partake in summertime classic games such as, tug-of-war, kickball, foursquare, hopscotch, lawn games, nature crafts, and a BBQ bash to end the week!

Week #2 (June 26th – June 30th)
“Pirate Adventures”
Trip: Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company – on premises
Shiver me timbers! Come prepared with your eye patches, bandanas, and parrots because we are at sea as pirates this week! Campers will have fun making their own treasure maps and pirate ships. Seaworthy fun featuring buried treasure hunts will end this week. Don’t miss out when Riddlesbrood Touring Theatre Company visits us and puts on a pirate show.

Week #3 (July 3rd – July 7th)
“Red, White and Blueberries!”
Trip: Johnsons Corner Farm – Medford, NJ
Join us in celebrating America as we express ourselves through various arts and crafts, blueberry inspired foods, and wearing red white and blue! Campers will have the chance to visit Johnsons Corner Farm to pick blueberries and other seasonal fruits and veggies.

Week #4 (July 10th – July 14th)
“Food Frenzy”
Trip: Chef It Up – on premises
Our taste buds will come alive as we serve ourselves a fun week with food! Campers will surely serve a smorgasbord of yummy treats including cooking our own applesauce, vegetable soup, English muffin pizzas and chocolate fudge. Who doesn’t love to cook and eat their delicious creation? “Chef It Up” will visit us this week and help the campers make their own lunch, dessert and fresh lemonade. Make sure to sign up!

Week #5 (July 17th – July 21st)
“Show Us Your Camp Spirit”
Trip: Blackbeard’s Cave – Bayville, NJ
Show us your camp spirit through team banners, wacky relays, scavenger hunts, and more! Cardboard boat races in our pool will end this week. Don’t miss out on bumper boats, go karts, water balloon toss, and much more when we visit Blackbeard’s Cave!

Week #6 (July 24th – July 28th)
“Christmas in July”
Trip: Northlandz – Flemington, NJ
Did you know July 25th is halfway to Christmas? So, why wait? Let’s celebrate now! Campers will enjoy all things Christmas this week, from drinking frozen hot chocolate and decorating Christmas trees, to building sand snowmen on the beach. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Join us as we head to Northlandz to see the world’s largest model railroad.

Week #7 (July 31st – August 4th)
“Sports of All Sorts”
Trip: Thunderbird Lanes – Manahawkin, NJ
Put on your favorite jerseys and get ready to play! This week will focus on improving sport skills through teamwork and friendly competition. Each day will be dedicated to a specific sport such as, baseball, hockey, and much more! Our trip this week will be to the Thunderbird Lanes bowling alley, don’t miss out!

Week #8 (August 7th – August 11th)
“Wonderfully Wacky Week”
Trip: Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum – Atlantic City, NJ
This is the week to embrace the wacky! Campers can show off their wild side and their wacky style by sporting their craziest hairdos and most outrageous outfits! There will be silly games, so come prepared for a wildly, wonderfully, wacky time. Join us as we get even wackier when we visit Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum!

Week #9 (August 14th – August 18th)
“A Work of Art in Progress”
Trip: Pretty in Pink Party – on premises
This week will feature the colorful world of painting for emerging artists! Each day campers will learn about different famous artists and their styles such as Picasso, Van Gogh, and Pollack. Join us when professionals from “Pretty in Pink Party” come to give step by step instructions to campers for their own beach themed painting.

Week #10 (August 21st – August 25th)
“Junior Paleontologists”
Trip: Dinosaurs Rock – on premises
Put on your paleontologist hat and let’s get ready to dig! This week, claw your way through camp as we get up close and personal with some of the most famous dinosaurs. Campers will experience the life of a paleontologist first hand and will be digging up bones and exploring each prehistoric era. Don’t miss out when “Dinosaurs Rock” brings the fossil adventure show and fossil dig to us!

Week #11 (August 28th – August 31st)
“End of Summer Fiesta”
Estan listos para una fiesta? What we mean to say is, Are you ready to party? Join in on our end
of summer celebration by hitting the piñatas, making maracas, eating traditional food, and playing fiesta inspired games! Campers will learn to dance the Salsa and Macarena. Fiesta like there’s no manana!
